Gachet<\/em><\/strong><\/a><em>,<\/em> g\u00e9r\u00e9e par des artistes, se situe dans l\u2019est du centre-ville de Vancouver et doit son nom \u00e0 l\u2019hom\u00e9opathe qui a trait\u00e9 l\u2019artiste Vincent Van Gogh. Ne comptant qu\u2019une exposition annuelle dans un studio situ\u00e9 au sous-sol, \u00e0 ses d\u00e9buts en 1993, Gachet accueille maintenant jusqu\u2019\u00e0 12 expositions par an et constitue un centre local dynamique pour la tenue de conf\u00e9rences, d\u2019ateliers, de symposiums ainsi que de projets et d\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nements sp\u00e9ciaux. Chez Gachet, les membres du collectif sont en charge de la programmation de la galerie tout en \u00e9tant au c\u0153ur de sa direction, ce qui place la galerie \u00e0 l\u2019intersection de l\u2019art et de la gu\u00e9rison. De plus, les membres organisent des spectacles et des \u00e9v\u00e9nements qui remettent en question les attitudes et les pratiques li\u00e9es \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 mentale et \u00e0 la marginalisation. En plus d\u2019\u00eatre synonyme d\u2019art et de culture, la galerie Gachet est aussi synonyme de travail enrichissant, de logement d\u00e9cent, des droits de la personne et de justice sociale et \u00e9conomique.<\/p>\n<p>Karen Ward est une \u00e9crivaine, artiste, militante et membre de longue date du collectif qui croit que Gachet repr\u00e9sente ce qu\u2019il se fait de mieux en mati\u00e8re de programmes communautaires de sant\u00e9 mentale. \u00c9ducateurs et \u00e9tudiants constateront que ses r\u00e9flexions profondes et personnelles servent d\u2019excellente introduction \u00e0 une discussion plus g\u00e9n\u00e9rale sur les bienfaits de l\u2019expression cr\u00e9ative, de l\u2019engagement communautaire et de l\u2019autonomisation personnelle et
