Rares sont ceux qui ont acc\u00e8s \u00e0 une cuisine l\u00e0 o\u00f9ils vivent et bon nombrene peuvent pas se nourrir pendant tout le mois parce que leurs prestations d\u2019invalidit\u00e9 sont insuffisantes. Il n\u2019est donc pas surprenant que, d\u00e8s le d\u00e9but, l\u2019alimentation ait \u00e9t\u00e9 une priorit\u00e9 au PARC et qu\u2019elle ait toujours repr\u00e9sent\u00e9 une part importante du budget op\u00e9rationnel de l\u2019organisation. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 l\u2019appui de la banque alimentaire<em>Daily\u00a0Bread<\/em>et du programme <em>Second\u00a0Harvest<\/em>, le PARC offre de 50 \u00e0 250\u00a0repas par jour \u00e0 ses membres. La cuisine fonctionne essentiellement gr\u00e2ce au travail b\u00e9n\u00e9vole de ses membres, qui se rassemblent pour pr\u00e9parer et servir les repas, et pour participer \u00e0 la gestion de la banque alimentaire. Par ailleurs, le PARC consid\u00e8re aussi la pr\u00e9paration des repas comme une comp\u00e9tence essentielle, ce qui a donn\u00e9 lieu \u00e0 la cr\u00e9ation d\u2019un club de cuisine dans les ann\u00e9es\u00a01990\u2009; les membres y apprenaient \u00e0 cuisiner des repas nutritifs et \u00e9conomiques. Des repas communautaires festifs sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9s lors d\u2019occasions sp\u00e9ciales et ponctuent le rythme des saisons au PARC. Dans les bo\u00eetes poussi\u00e9reuses des archives du PARC, les photographies de membres en train de cuisiner, de manger et de partager des repas de f\u00eate abondent, t\u00e9moignant du r\u00f4le central que joue la nourriture dans la vie des membres qui franchissent les portes du PARC chaque jour.<\/p>\n<p>Les enseignants et les apprenants peuvent utiliser les contenus pour d\u00e9couvrir les diff\u00e9rentes fa\u00e7ons dont la nourriture am\u00e9liore la vie des membres du PARC. Les \u00e9tudiants peuvent consulter les ressources en ligne ou en classe, en pr\u00e9vision de la discussion ou de l\u2019activit\u00e9 d\u2019apprentissage.
